The Pittsburgh SQL Server User Group (PSSUG) was established to provide a forum for exchanging information, ideas and expertise on SQL Server and related products. The mission of PSSUG is to further the use of the SQL technology platform and products in southwestern Pennsylvania by providing local support, peer networking opportunities and educational events for IT professionals utilizing these technologies. Power BI makes it incredibly easy to create a report, but it can be a bit difficult understand why a report might be slow. The first step to addressing a slow report is to identify what the bottleneck is. Is it an issue with refresh? Is it an issue with rendering? Once we’ve covered how to identify the bottleneck, we will review tools that allows us to take a look under the hood and see why a report is slow.
