Plainfield Junior Woman's Club is a member of The General Federation of Women's Clubs. GFWC, founded in 1890, is an organization with international affiliation dedicated to community improvement by enhancing the lives of others through volunteer service.
GFWC members took part in some of the biggest social movements in our nation's history, such as helping to establish 75% of the nation's public library system and assisting in the formation of the juvenile court system. Nearly 80,000 members strong, the General Federation of Women's Clubs is united in its dedication to volunteer community service. While diverse in age, interests, and experiences, all clubwomen are united by a desire to create positive change in their communities. You can learn more about our federation by visiting www.gfwc.org.
Through our membership in PJWC, we will work together on various service projects and fundraisers during our club year that will help the underprivileged women and children in and around our community.
Our club year runs from September - May. We meet on the second Thursday of the month.
In order to access this meetup, you must be a member of PJWC.
