Greenmarket Tour & Produce Education

Join us as we tour one of Brooklyn's favorite farmers' markets at Fort Greene Park. We'll wander through the farm stands, sampling and shopping for local, farm-grown produce to fill our shopping totes. Along the way, we'll discuss:
--What makes something "local"
--What is currently in season and at its peak for flavor
--What are the most important products to buy at the market
--Tips for choosing the best produce
--Why organic is not the most important label at the market
--Nutritional value and health benefits of eating select seasonal fruits and vegetables
