Plant-Power Your Life: Achievable Steps to Overcoming Chronic Illness

Details

Presented by PPMNY and Our Lady of Mount Carmel Institute.

A new and exciting paradigm in health and wellness is recognizing the body's miraculous capacity to heal itself. According to growing evidence, whole plant foods can be our first and best medicine, helping us shift away from the inevitability of chronic illness and unending disease management.

In this monthly series, learn, listen, taste, and connect as we explore the science, the skills, and the lifestyle with local experts and those who have healed with whole food, plant-based (WFPB) nutrition.

In March, cancer survivor and activist Caryn Hartglass joins us as she shares her experience advocating for a plant-based diet for over 20 years, including her role as Executive Director of the nonprofit EarthSave International founded by John Robbins (once heir to Baskin Robbins). She has appeared on Dr. Oz, 20-20, and CNN and is host of It's All About Food on the Progressive Radio Network.

Attendees are encouraged to bring an oil-free whole food, plant-based dish to share for a potluck dinner.
