Plant-Based MN is a part of the international organization, PlantPure Communities. Local chapters are called “pods”.

Join us at our upcoming PlantPure Pod events to learn about evidence-based nutrition and meet others on the same journey.

PlantPure Communities advocates a whole food, plant-based diet, consisting of:
Vegetables, including leafy greens
Whole grains
Nuts and seeds
And minimizing or eliminating processed food and animal food

As explained in the film, PlantPure Nation, “PlantPure” was selected as a term for describing a whole food, plant-based diet because it is suggestive of Nature. Nature is pure … perhaps the only experience we will have in this earthly life that is indeed perfect.

Brain Health and a Plant Based Diet

A decline in brain health is not an inevitable part of aging. How we eat and live can help protect our memory and stay sharp into old age.

Research shows that saturated and trans fats found in dairy products, meats, pastries, and fried foods can increase the risk for cognitive decline. A plant-based diet can help protect brain health. Berries and foods rich in vitamin E, including nuts, seeds, leafy greens, and whole grains are especially beneficial. Join us to find out more about how a plant based diet can help maintain cognitive function.
