What we're about

PS2G is a Local Game for Global Change based in NYC. Our mission is to restore dignity and encourage generosity through soccer.

By creating a safe, supportive and generous adult pickup soccer culture
By helping soccer charities tell their stories and raise funds through soccer

The tendency is for unorganized pickup games to become hostile environments that breed disagreeable behavior. Our goal is to encourage positivity, safety and generosity. We are creating positive social change amongst our supporters in addition to our charity partners.

We start each game with a few words about the power of giving and encourage safe and supportive play. We cheer when nobody else is cheering. Together, we are perfecting the art of pickup soccer by creating generous environments where all good things can flourish

So far we have:
Raised funds and awareness for 10 charities
Organized 1,300 fundraising pickup games
Granted $22,848 since 2010 from local pickup games ($10,000 in 2014 alone)
Encouraged generosity to 2,300 adult players
Trained 40 community game leaders
Directed 2 “soccer for social good” documentaries

You can lead a fundraising pickup game or sign up to an existing one.

Games are low cost!

Leaders play for free!

Big Goals When Possible!

Friendliest Games (Ask Anyone)!!

All of the proceeds support our charity partners ultimately promoting the safe play of soccer for children in need.

Nelson Mandela said, “Sport has the power to change the world…It speaks to youth in a language they understand. Sport can create hope where once there was only despair.” PS2G aims to support financially and raise the awareness of soccer charities that are positively affecting the lives of children and acting as catalysts for social change.
