Codewise.com (http://codewise.com/), Peter "Code Cop" Kofler (http://blog.code-cop.org) and Polish Java User Group (http://www.java.pl/) invite you to special edition of Code Retreat - the Pac-Man edition.
The Code Retreat is a day-long event of pair-programming and TDD! It’s about getting you out of your comfort zone to focus on essential practices. It’s about fun, learning and experimenting - all at the same time.
We start pretty early for a Saturday morning - 9 AM. And if you want to start with a proper breakfast and a cup of coffee, make sure to be there at 8:30 AM. Snacks and drinks (#freefood!) during the day followed by lunch and after-party - are provided by our sponsor Codewise (http://codewise.com/).
This time we’re going to use Pac-Man - not Game of Life - as the main exercise. And it’s language-agnostic, so you’re welcome to use your preferred programming language.
Please bring your own laptop (if you have none, it’s not a problem because we will work in pairs). Please also set up your coding / testing libraries properly, so you don't have to do it on-site. Remember - do so for each language you want to code in! WiFi will be provided by the venue (but if lots of us starts downloading lots of libraries...). After around eight hours of hard work, you’re then invited to the after-party – same place.
As usual, at the event there'll be prizes, randomized from among the attendees by Polish JUG organizers.
Come, code, enjoy (not necessarily in that order)!
