We are excited to be in Seoul and are bringing with us some core members of the Polkadot team.

Speaker Profiles

Robert Habermeier, Co-Founder @ Polkadot

Robert Habermeier is a Thiel Fellow and co-founder of Polkadot, a platform that connects public and private blockchains to power a web 3.0. He has a research and development background in blockchains, distributed systems, and cryptography. A longtime member of the Rust community, he has focused on leveraging the language’s features to build highly parallel and performant solutions.

Dr. Alistair Stewart, Research Lead @ Polkadot & W3F

Alistair leads research for Polkadot and focuses on consensus algorithms. He has a PhD and has been a postdoc in theoretical computer science and worked in areas such as high-dimensional robust statistics and infinite-state stochastic models.

Adrian Brink, Technologist @ Polkadot & W3F (Former Lead Developer at Cosmos)

Adrian Brink pushes the boundaries of interoperability and scalability for Proof of Stake blockchains. At W3F Adrian focuses on establishing a secure validator set and growing the developer ecosystem. He is the founder of Cryptium Labs, a validator for PoS networks, such as Polkadot, Tezos, and Cosmos. Previously he was a core developer at Cosmos.

Ryan Zurrer, Council Member @ W3F (Former Polychain Capital Venture Partner)

Ryan is the former Principal and Venture Partner at Polychain Capital. He has been an active investor and miner in the blockchain ecosystem since 2012. For five years, Ryan was the CEO of a large Brazilian renewables firm (958MW portfolio). Prior to that, Ryan worked in investment banking focused on financial technology.

We’ll have time for questions, discussion, and networking. Drinks and snacks will be served.
