In the previous meetup, we talked about Java landscape, release cadence and general aspects of Semeru Runtimes. Next, we are going to dive deeper into Semeru Runtimes when running on a cloud based platform. More specifically we will take a look at challenges in cloud world order, subtleties involved in container awareness, systemic efficiencies gained and finally the debugging aspect. Moving to the cloud can be a large and complex effort. So it’s imperative that one understands the foundational pieces of the puzzle involved in this transformational journey.

Sharan works as a Java L3 support engineer with IBM Runtimes team in IBM India Software Labs. He is responsible for debugging complex production issues such as memory and performance for large scale enterprise deployments. He also works on Java on Cloud and contributes towards various serviceability improvements. Prior to this, Sharan worked as a WLAN developer.
