Remember to purchase your advance tickets at Walgreens! Ask for the early bird pricing. There are no discounted tickets the day of the event! Also, the rules for the scavenger hunt are below:
Renaissance Festival Photo Scavenger Hunt
Greetings witches and wizards! For the photo scavenger hunt, you will need a Muggle Camera of some sort as well as a Quill (or any writing utensil) to mark off each item).
**You may work alone or in a team of 2+. **Take a photo of each item for 1 point. ** If you or a team member is in the photo, an additional point will be rewarded. This allows you to earn up to 2 points for each item (unless otherwise noted next to the item). Many of these require creativity!
**By 11:59pm on Friday March 14, create an album on Portkey’s facebook page and title it your team’s name. In the description of each photo, put the item number and description.
We will have small prizes for the 1st and 2nd place teams and they will be announced by Tuesday March 18th. Please let me know if you have any questions! Happy hunting!

New addition! There will be a photo scavenger hunt! Please find me at the meetup point or during the day for the sheet. Take one photo for each item you find. Post all photos in a new album in our facebook group at http://www.portkeytomagic.com or email to portkeytomagic@gmail.com. Label each photo with the item number it corresponds with. Greetings Witches and Wizards of Hogwarts! For our field trip this month, we will be using a time turner to venture back to Renaissance times in England. This is a great chance to see and experience the strange muggle customs of this land, although I expect we will see magical creatures lurking about. The trader’s port will also be in full force to see fascinating muggle items from all over the world! The theme on this weekend will be Buccaneer Beer Fest. While I do not think they carry Butterbeer, there will be plenty of food and drink available! If you plan on purchasing any beverages, don’t forget your Hogsmeade and Butterbeer mugs to use!! You may stay with the group or frolic about! We will meet at the gypsy stage between 12:30 and 1. If you arrive after I will post my cell phone number in the comments below, just text if you would like to meet up! We will have a photo scavenger hunt going on as well! The list will be posted in the coming weeks! Photos will be due by Wednesday March 12th. They can be submitted by posting them in the Ren Fest photo album with your team’s name and item labeled in each photo.
