For our June Meetup, we have something really special. The Pacific Northwest has a number of Additive Manufacturing companies, some making gear, some pushing the bounds of design, and still others rapid prototyping. We're fortunate to be the site of one of the biggest 3d printer manufacturers out there. HP recently announced their incredible MultiJet technology, which promises robust materials, easy color, and wide catalog of materials. And they're based right here. This month we'll have the MultiJet team from HP out to talk about their process, materials, and software. This is the first time they're joining us, so let's show them how awesome our community can be.

Agenda:

600pm: Networking

700pm: Introduction

715pm: Scott White - HP Multijet Concepts. HP has a rich history of driving analog to digital transformations at scale. We intend to facilitate the same in additive manufacturing. I will discuss the journey toward that end and where we see the biggest challenges in the current industry landscape.

About Scott: Senior Software Architect for 3D Print. I’ve worked at HP for over 20 years across nearly all of the print-related businesses, mostly focused on device protocols, imaging and rendering, and end to end printing and device management solutions.

745pm: Sterling Chaffins - HP’s Multijet Fusion Printing technology and process with a look into the future around tailoring part properties voxel by voxel

About Sterling: Senior Scientist at HP, been at HP for 14y, numerous materials development projects in photoresists, adhesives, inks, and printhead technologies, PhD in Organic Chemistry

815pm: More networking!

HP has graciously donated to the meetup, so we'll have food/beverages. As always, bring your printers and questions.
