Audubon Book Club
The Audubon Book Club meets in the Portland Audubon interpretive center on the third Wednesday of every month for a fun and informal discussion. Pick up your copy of the month's book in the Nature Store for a 20% discount for Audubon members. Most books we read are also available at libraries and as e books. For January 2019 we are reading Buzz the Nature and Necessity of Bees by Thor Hanson. Buzz shows us why all bees are wonders to celebrate and protect. Thor Hanson is both knowledgeable and readable. His writting is described as having a "unique mixture of science, adventure, intelligence, wonder, linguistic virtuosity, and great storytelling."

What we're about

All are invited to attend our volunteer-led field trips. Beginning birders to experts are welcome. Our volunteers love birding and sharing their enthusiasm and knowledge with others.

Bring your binoculars and dress for the weather! Beginners always welcome!
