Halloween Night! Free and Open Modeling-Session!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Are you wondering what to do on Halloween Night??

Many of us are just too darn old to trick-or-treat. But there is a place
for you to go! Join us with your drawing-supplies and costume-pieces and let’s do a free and open costumed session! “Free”, meaning you pay nothing to sketch models and “open” meaning the stage is open to anyone who wants to dress up in costume and/or bring props to model with on stage.

Bring some props or costume pieces if you like, or just bring yourself. As people would like to, they can decide how long they want to hold a pose for the group on our little 8-foot stage in the corner, and what kind of pose they want to do (clothed, cafe-appropriate). These poses can be seated/reclined (:10-:15 minutes) or they can be something more challenging like a :05-minute action-pose. Modeling is not required, but the more brave souls we have willing to try it, the more fun it will be!

So bring your favorite art-supplies keeping in mind that they serve food here (please refrain from bringing anything too messy or toxic). They have coffee, they have beer on tap, and they really maintain this café as a welcoming place for artists. We are free to hold events here and enjoy it, at the pleasure of the cafe. In short, our members are asked to not bring in outside food or beverages, and to please be clean and courteous.

Our Club is a Safe-Space. We Welcome ALL skill-levels, Races and Ethnicities, Religions, Countries of Origin, Gender Identities, Sexual Orientations, Abilities & Disabilities, Spoken Languages, all Ages,.. Everyone!

A tip of $1.00-$2.00 is recommended to cover fees for the website.

**Note: a Few of you are wondering what’s going to be happening with Meetup fees. I’ve read the site is testing out charging people $2.00 to RSVP. I am not sure if this is going to cover club fees or if it is going to be in addition to our fees. Whatever happens we will formulate a plan to keep the Portland Coffee and Sketch Club going and keep it affordable.
