Handmade Collage Fortune Cookie Books

Details

Fortune Cookie Books

Join us this month as Carol Mikkelson teaches an easy technique for covering book boards by making a “Fortune Cookie Book”. We’ll be using Oriental inspired papers to cover an accordion-style book, collaging the inside pages using clip-art, stencils, and rubber stamps, and putting it all together into a fun, and easy project.

Supply list-

  • Bring a bone folder if you have one. If not, bring a spoon.

  • Fiskars-type paper cutter. Bring a scoring blade, for Fiskars paper cutter if you have one. If you don’t have this type of paper cutter you will also need an Xacto knife and a cutting mat to cut cardstock. Also bring any Asian themed papers or ephemera for added charm

Remember, we all like to share, so do not be intimidated if you do not have everything on the supply list!

Members in good standing free. Drop-ins $5.00. We welcome new members and can't wait to meet you!
