IN-PERSON Bi-Weekly Meetup: Political Campaigns as a EA Cause Area
Details
We will meet and discuss the Political Campaigns as a cause area in abstract with the example of the Carrick Campaign in concreto. At this meeting we will plan to focus more on the idea of contributing to political movements in general. This will be a good primer for discussing more about the effectiveness of getting involved or donating to the Carrick Flynn Congressional Campaign. This will take place on the Beeminder's Patio with a EX-up and a Restaraunt Outdoor Heater. Also, politics are the mind-killer, so just be aware of your emotions around these topics and know we are all seeking the truth together.

Please feel free to come, even if, like many of us, you feel awkward about it, feel that you're not the typical rationalist or effective altruist, are completely new to either community, or worry that people won't like you, etc. Hope to see you there!
