This is a group for anyone interested in kratom (Mitragyna speciosa), a somewhat controversial plant that has rapidly become a part of many Americans' lives. Kratom is currently being portrayed as a dangerous scourge by the FDA and DEA, but many people suffering from chronic pain, opiate addiction, and other conditions claim that it has turned their lives around. What is it about this leaf that makes the Attorney General so nervous? Is it really dangerous? Does it have potential benefit as a medicine?
