Living with chronic pain can be an incredibly isolating and difficult experience, regardless of age, location, or income. Studies show that people who experience daily pain are more prone to anxiety, depression, and even suicide. But it does not have to be that way.

Participants who attend the meetings will be able to discuss coping with everything from dealing with having chronic pain, to losing the ability to work, learning to pace oneself, understanding the grieving process, relationship challenges and developing Relapse Prevention plans. They will also learn about techniques and tools like meditation, visualization, breathing techniques, acupressure and more.

(Per guidelines from the US Pain Foundation: Support groups will be presented/hosted via Zoom (through the end of 2021. This group was formerly titled: Portland Metro Chronic Pain Support Group; it has been opened up to the states of Oregon, Washington, and Northern California.)
