World class Irish music, tasty Irish food, and hearty Irish booze. It's like a short, very inexpensive vacation in Ireland.
As I've oft mentioned, this is not the best of our Meetups for deep conversation, because of the world-class Irish music (see above) and because we're singing along and drinking the hearty Irish booze, as I previously mentioned. This is a Meetup to have fun with other Pagans. If you come with all this in mind, you'll have a great time. If you come expecting a somber discussion on arcane Pagan matters, you'll be disappointed -- actually, you'd be disappointed at most of our Meetups if that's what you're looking for. We might have a lively, amusing conversation on arcane Pagan matters, but not a somber one. There are a lot of somber, arcane Pagan groups -- but we're not one of them. We're more the "Yes-we're-Pagan-and-we-actually-live-it-and-have-fun" type group; not the "We-claim-to-be-reconstructionist-Pagans-so-we-don't-have-time-to-actually-live-it;-we-just-talk-about-the-details-we-read-in some-book-and- look-for-minor-details-to-correct-so-we-can-feel-superior-in-some-sort-of-pretentious-pseudo-intellectual-way" type group. (and yes, I've experienced that sorts of groups too).
That's probably not good form to bash some unnamed group that way (and I really don't have a specific one in mind) but I'm not going to erase it - typing all those hyphens in was tough.
We'll be sitting at one of the tables in front of the stage, or just ask a waitress where Sorcha's group is. The owner of the pub is a very dear old friend of mine, so I'm well known at this pub, and they treat us very well.
