Hello Rubyist!
The Portland Ruby Brigade, also known as pdxruby and pdx.rb, is a user group for Ruby programmers in the Portland, Oregon area.
This week we're going to be hearing about a brand new Ruby project developed locally by one of our attendees: Bridgetown, the Ruby-powered static site generator you've been missing.
Wow, Portland has its own static site generator now? Not exactly—Bridgetown is for everyone! But Portland provides the existential backdrop for this forward-looking fork of Jekyll that now comes with full Webpack integration and an ambitious roadmap.
Tune in for an interactive demo from Bridgetown's lead contributor, Jared White, and learn how you can build thoroughly-modern Jamstack sites with Ruby.
In the interest of keeping the ever-watchful eye of SauronZoom at bay we're going to try out Jitsi (https://jitsi.org/) for this meeting, made possible by a generous donation of a 4 jigaflop Digital Ocean droplet by our organizing team. Since we own it you can be certain that we won't be sharing any of the personal details you're not required to give us in the first place.
To allow attendance from our friends in witness protection this meeting will not be recorded, also because setting up recording sounds potentially like work, which is banned from all PDX.rb events. We may be able to make recordings available for future virtual events.

We'll be chatting casually for the first hour or so and Jared's presentation will begin at 7pm, with additional eMingling and hobnobbery to follow.
We're looking forward to seeing you!
