This is the first of 2 one-hour classes, scheduled for Tuesday the 25th, at 7:30 PM. The second is scheduled one week later on October 2nd, also at 7:30.

Eric is a live performer and recording artist. He is also an experiential educator. Here are some of the topics that he will help you understand.
Why use a slide?
Which finger works best for you when playing slide?
Why would I use glass, steel or even a clay slide?
Setting up your guitar for better slide playing
How to get a clean tone
Tone matching - Using the ears, eyes, and body
How to play multiple notes at the same time to form chords
Basic slide riffs - Using Vibrato
Approaches to improvisation
Standard Vs. Open Tunings
Songs to get you started
Learning the basics and making sure that you have the right slide for your fingers will offer you a fair start to playing slide guitar. So many give up due to frustrations. It will take time and patience to feel confident with a slide, much like the process of learning chords.
A last-minute reminder to those who plan to arrive and pay at the door- please, Please let us know in advance of the class- say, by Monday noon- that you are coming so we don't have to cancel or reschedule again, and thanks in advance for doing so.
