Bio:
I’m a quality assurance analyst with 6 years of experience, currently working at Blip. I love a good puzzle, which comes real handy when analysing complex algorithms and business logic.
Abstract:
Working with a microservice architecture comes with its unique challenges. But when your APIs are customer-facing and high-risk for your business, software quality has to be a top priority. Failing to do so leads to loss of customers and money.
I’m here to share with you my personal experience assuring quality for such API’s. How my team is set up, how it works, what is the code’s life cycle and how is software quality a team’s responsibility from the product’s design to its release to production.
LUÍS REIS
Bio:
Alumni from MIEIC @FEUP and Software Engineer in Test @ Feedzai for 1.5 years.
Specialized in feature planning and testing during the development process.
I am a jack of all trades both in my work and in my hobbies.
Game jam veteran (10+ Game Jams), web dev in my free time and lead singer in a garage band.
Abstract:
An automation QA engineer's job is not just automating tests.
Any good engineer is lazy and any task that you do repeatedly and takes more than 2 minutes is a good candidate for automation.
We will be talking about practical examples of problems and pains we felt in Feedzai and the solutions we devised as QA engineers to make everyone's, but mostly our own, lives easier.
