BUSINESS AS USUAL? Are we running over a cliff? Do we have the right economic and financial theories and mechanisms? Boom, bust, poverty, riches: why?

Come to this symposium and find out.

Only the very rich can hide from the results of poverty which are to be seen all around us in London, more so in other countries. But unless we also deal with the causes of poverty and exploitation the problem will get worse until we are overwhelmed by them, But what are the causes?

At this symposium, we will be discussing both the symptoms and a solution.

Program:

The speakers will make short presentations including excerpts from the award winning Four Horsemen film (http://buy.fourhorsemenfilm.com/) and a synopsis of the book 'Modernising Money' (http://www.positivemoney.org/shop/modernising-money/) which is promoted by ‘Positive Money (http://www.positivemoney.org/)’, an independent think tank. This will be followed by a discussion.

Speakers:

Rev Donald Reeves - ‘Troublesome Priest’
Ross Ashcroft - Polemic film maker
Henry Russell - ‘Ethical banker’
