Adaptive Re-use in Produce Row - NEW!

Details

For well over a hundred years the East Side industrial district was a hub for wholesale food distribution throughout the Pacific Northwest. In recent years, this area of abandoned warehouses and crumbling brick structures has been transformed into a magnet for forward-looking entrepreneurs and an important job generating center on the East Side.

Join us for a view of Portland's past meeting its future in the "Central Eastside Industrial District". We'll begin the tour at the Architectural Heritage Center, a fine example of rehab and re-purposing of one of the oldest commercial buildings on the East Side. (see photo above)

This tour covers about one mile and lasts about 2 hours. Easy urban walk.
Optional social time with food/beverage after the tour.

Cost for this narrated tour is $15. You can pay by check, cash or credit card at the start of the tour. You may also use PayPal by following this link: http://bit.ly/22q0waD

This tour is re-scheduled from Saturday, February 9 due to weather.
