Laurelhurst is one of the most architecturally distinctive neighborhoods in Portland and was recently added to the National Register of Historic Places. With beginnings as a planned "streetcar neighborhood", this area has a high concentration of early 20th century Arts and Crafts influenced residences as well as some grand Colonial Revivals. We'll see several landmark residences, including the Doyle/Albee House (1913), the Green/Bitar Mansion (1928) and maybe even a couple of Airplane Bungalows!
We'll meet at the Petite Provence cafe and walk about 1 mile through undulating urban terrain in the heart of this captivating neighborhood. This tour takes a slightly different route than other Laurelhurst tours and runs about 2 hours.
The fee for this narrated tour is $15. You may pay by cash, check or credit card at the start of the tour. You may also use PayPal by following this link: http://bit.ly/22q0waD
Parking is available on street in the neighborhood. Several bus lines also serve this area.
