Poznań Elixir Meetup #10
We'd like to invite you to the 10th Poznań Elixir Meetup! The plan is to have three interesting presentations, but also have some time to grab a beer and pizza, meet people and talk about Elixir programming language. Schedule: Venue open at 6:00 Start of first presentation 6:15 Each presentation will take 30-40 minutes. 1) Łukasz Niemier - What can we learn from GameDev? Event Sourcing, CQRS, QUICK (aka UDP with guarantees) - all the shiny new techniques in web development. But are they really that new? 2) Michał Wojcieszyk - What to do when your monolith is not majestic? The talk will be focused on dealing with growing complexity of application and (not only Phoenix) ways to refactor and decouple monolith. 3) Rafał Radziszewski - Code Economics: Efficient software engineering in Elixir Presentation will show another approach to explain and model complexity in software project. We will subsequently use that model to present a couple of strategies to handle that complexity using features of Elixir. (Side note: To fully enjoy Rafał's presentation, it's best to take a look at the slides from the "Modular Design in Elixir" by Maciej Kaszubowski presented at the last meetup. Here are the slides: https://speakerdeck.com/mkaszubowski/the-big-ball-of-nouns )
