All you wanted to know about Containers

Good news everyone!

As you noticed last meetup was great success - we learned a lot about Jenkins and how to run Kubernetes in enterprise. Now is time too look back to containers technology plumbings and see it's offering and how containers usage changed the world!

Our agenda is:

In short I want to talk about why you should choose containers and also why you shouldn't. Many people want to start using containers and wonder if its suitable for their stack, is it worth the effort, wouldn't it even complicate things up or will it solve all my problems? I will try to address all these concerns and lead you through what opportunities and threats you are facing if you want to start containerizing your apps in development, CI or in production environment.

Let's take a look at various containerization technologies. We'll take a look at history of container, analyse present trends and we can also try to dive into occult science methods to look into the future. There will be live demos to show various technologies and their use cases.
