Even during the bear market, quite a few new L1s appeared promising increased speed. In the talk, I'll present the most notable ones deserving attention: Sei and Sui, and compare those to a traditional one Solana.

Once done, you'll have an idea about what affects the time to finality, how fast can state be propagated on those blockchains, and which of the new ones might actually be doing something really new.

2. Asset Rights Abstractions - a Case for Smart Contract

Smart contract wallets (SCW) have a potential to streaml UX and increase the compatibility of asset and dapp contracts.

Well-positioned SCW can overcome need for devs to integrate an increasing number of standards. Instead, SCWs can improve composability between dapps and decrease the amount of TXs needed, enabling dev to focus on core features rather than handling custom or niche cases of asset contracts.

PWN Safe is an example of such a wallet enabling self-custody of lending collateral.
