Artificial Intelligence in Agriculture - Tomáš Borovička (Datamole)

Abstract:
Datamole focuses on application of artificial intelligence techniques in industry. We mainly utilise sensoric data from robotic and measurement systems to build tailored solutions with high added value to our customers. Agriculture is one of the rapidly growing markets in terms of robotics and the employment of efficient systems that increase productivity. Even though robots and mechatronics are fast evolving, there still exists a huge need for development of AI driven solutions.
One of Datamole’s partners is a company developing robotic systems for dairy farms. Deriving from this partnership, we would like to share experience with some applications of AI techniques that we have realised. You can look forward to hear about modelling of animal behaviour using hidden Markov models and application of Bayesian optimization on parameters of a robotic systems in order to adapt to each individual animal.

Machine Learning Meetups (MLMU) is an independent platform for people interested in Machine Learning, Information Retrieval, Natural Language Processing, Computer Vision, Pattern Recognition, Data Journalism, Artificial Intelligence, Agent Systems and all the related topics. MLMU is a regular community meeting usually consisting of a talk, a discussion and a subsequent networking. At the end of the year 2016, MLMU spread also to Brno and Bratislava. Later on, Košice joined our MLMU family.
