Vladimir Valouch: Efficient Work With Images

The work with images on Android makes you face challenges like slow storage, limited memory and long process times. This lesson will show you how to handle loading of big images, implement the image cache, approaches to save memory and in general keep your application fast. The lesson style will be as usual workshop with all examples written in Kotlin.

Johana Emma Kreckova: Espresso Testing

Android provides easy and fast user interface testing using the espresso framework. During this lesson we will be testing buttons, textviews and other View elements in activities. We also show the cases in which the use of espresso may be beneficial to the unit test or what problems we may encounter when testing.

Prerequisite:

• Above basic coding skills
• Laptop running Android Studio
