Join the Origins Project at ASU for an evening of science and creativity for the kick off of the Origins Stories weekend. The evening will begin at 7:00pm with an exclusive test screening of a new feature film documentary, The Unbelievers (http://unbelieversmovie.com/), starring scientists Lawrence Krauss (http://krauss.faculty.asu.edu/) and Richard Dawkins (http://richarddawkins.net/), with contributions from noted filmmakers, actors, and writers. Audience members will be invited to provide comments and feedback after the screening.
Following the film, the evening will focus on a panel discussion featuring Booker Prize winning writer Ian McEwan (http://www.ianmcewan.com/), Lawrence Krauss, Richard Dawkins, the filmmakers and a number of well known actors and writers who appear in the film, as they discuss the importance of raising these issues broadly for the public in a film format.
Timely and controversial, the film and discussion will be sure to ignite a fiery debate about the place of scientific and reason-based discussion within our larger society. We look forward to seeing you there!
A book signing will follow the event. Only panel discussion ticket holders will be admitted to the film portion of the event.
Tickets will go on sale March 1, 2013 at ASU Gammage Box Office (http://www.asugammage.com/shows) and Ticketmaster.com (http://www.ticketmaster.com/). Discounted student tickets will be available at ASU Gammage Box Office and discounted package tickets for both Origins Stories events will be available.
