Drinks and Discussion

  • Apr 21, 2014 · 6:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

Thanks to Anne for hosting this month and thanks to PUUF (Prescott Unitarian Universalist Fellowship) for letting us use their facilities!

*After the discussion, please stay to help return the room as we find it so we can help Anne as a host and be respectful of the facilities.*

Visit for more info about the fellowship.

We'll provide drinks, you bring the conversation! Each month we'll have a different topic - sometimes posted in advance with related articles, videos or other information you may find helpful to exploring the topic. This is a relatively informal, round-table style discussion, facilitated by a host.

For questions or to suggest a particular topic, email or call Cori at 928.710.6429.

Not an event for children.

Should we still bring a snack/drink to share? Not sure if it's ok with the venue.....

As he often does, Dennis has offered some thought-provoking questions for our consideration. Thanks, Dennis! See y'all tonight.

    Freethinkers Discussion Topics April 21
1-Is the organizing theme of our group just that we do not think there is a God? Or is it just that we find organized religion more harmful than beneficial? Or is it both of these? Or is it that we want to insist that we are free as individuals to decide for ourselves what positions we take on the question of God and the question of organized religion?
    2. If one denies that God exists (however one defines “God”) should one have a good argument to support this conclusion? Why or why not?
    3. Does our group have a non-negative organizing theme?

How can I post some topic suggestions so that folks can see them before the meeting?

All are welcome to bring up topics of interest or concern. I hope that attendees will find PUUF's facilities comfortable. By the way, it's not far beyond Mark's home. Continue past his street to the 4 way stop sign and turn right. You'll see our sign, on the right, immediately.
