Presence@Play fuses the play of improv with the presence of mindfulness. The skills gained from both mindfulness and improv have practical applications in our daily lives.
This weekly drop-in class starts with a guided meditation followed by improv inspired games and scenes. No experience in improv or mindfulness necessary.
We gather every Monday from 7:15pm to 9:30pm at Still Mind Zendo (37W 17th St.). This is a donation based class to help cover the space rental.
The Presence@Play facilitators share a passion for both improv and mindfulness. The improv inspired games and scenes draw from classic improv comedy tradition popularized by Second City and UCB. The mindfulness practices draw from classic meditation and yoga traditions.
