What we're about

September 16, 2020

Dear Princeton Eats Plants Family,

We hope that everyone is healthy and safe. Unfortunately, in light of the current situation with COVID-19, Princeton Eats Plants with not be having any in person meetings until UUCP reopens and it is deemed safe to do so by local authorities. In the meantime, we can continue our learning and support of one another in the WFPB lifestyle through the use of technology.

Karina, Vicky and I recently met to discuss how best to go forward with Princeton Eats Plants. While Meetup is perfect for announcing and managing specific events like our meetings at UUCP, it is not very well suited for sharing and staying in touch virtually. Since it is unlikely that we will be able to meet in person for some time, we decided to open up our Facebook page again to stay in touch, to share recipes, to talk with you about topics you are interested in, and to stay connected until we can see each other in person.

So, for the time being, our Facebook group will be our primary source of sharing and information and the Meetup page will be secondary. If you are a member only of our Meetup site, you can find and join our Princeton Eats Plants Facebook group at:

We hope that you are healthy and enjoying all the wonderful late summer fruits and veggies!

Rachel, Karina and Vicky

We created this group to connect with people who eat a whole-food plant-based diet and live in or near Princeton, NJ. The purpose of the group is to share our knowledge of the WFPB lifestyle and create a community of like-minded people.

Our meetings and potlucks are designed to educate, strengthen friendships, help each other thrive on whole foods and encourage more people to consider this way of life. The discussion is respectful, nonjudgmental, informative and based on a WFPB diet - no oil, refined sugar, refined grains or processed food.

Things to consider about this group:

1. Please keep your posts relevant to the WFPBNO lifestyle only. Our focus is on food, health and nutrition. Please keep your posts on the topic.
2. Although many people following a WFPB diet indulge in non-compliant foods from time to time, processed foods and oil are not part of the WFPB lifestyle and should not be posted.
3. Do not promote your own business, or post anything that is promotional in nature.
4. We encourage positive and compassionate discussion around animal welfare but it's not the focus of group discussion. Do not post articles and images of animal abuse.
