Coffee House Ride - Walden's Coffee on Mayberry
Walden's Coffeehouse, 3940 Mayberry Dr, Reno, NV, USAbout 12 miles C+ rating
9:00 AM
Start: Walden's Coffeehouse (Mayberry @ McCarran)
Ride Leader: Tim SullivanDescription: The Coffee House Ride this Wednesday is from Walden's on Mayberry. This is the original location; there are now two more of them. As well as their selection of drinks, they have plenty of great breakfast items if you're hungry! The route is one dubbed the "Caughlin Roller Coaster" for a reason that will be obvious once we get going. Rated C+ because of the long climb at the start. Lots of uphill, lots of downhill. We start on an easy trail then go up into Caughlin by the usual route. We ride all the way to the top of the parkway, then come back down via neighborhood streets after crossing McCarren.
Breakfast is optional on this ride.E-BIKE NOTE: The ride leader is unable to handle e-bike mechanical issues (battery failure, flat tires, etc.) during a ride. Please have a backup plan in place for these events. Class 2 e-bikes are not permitted as they are not covered by club insurance.
RIDE SWEEP: Most of these rides will NOT have an official "sweeper." The ride leader will regroup at certain points. We do not want to lose anyone. However, please note the ride level before signing up.
RIDE SERIES DESCRIPTION: The Pedaler Coffee House Rides are designed for those who want a relatively easy, social ride, with the main goal of hanging out for good pastry and espresso after the ride. Most would be rated D/C and are fairly easy. We will depart from a different coffee house or bakery each time. Sometimes, when it warms up and we can start early, we will do breakfast rides.
NOTES: Check posting 2 hours before ride time for weather-related and other changes. Helmets are required and bikes should be in good working order. Please no ear buds or headphones. Be prepared with a spare tube and pump. Class 2 E-Bikes are not allowed.
Ride starting locations and start times vary, but details will be published on Meetup the weekend before the ride.
Please RSVP only if you ARE attending, DO NOT RSVP if you are not attending.
Helmets are required and bikes should be in good working order.
The ride leaves at the posted time. Please be signed in and ready to ride at that time.
Check the Meetup posting a couple of hours before the ride, to make sure that there are no changes.BECOME A MEMBER: Your membership on Meetup is not a membership in the Procrastinating Pedalers Bike Club.
