- Coffee Ride - Swill Coffee and WineSwill Coffee and Wine, Reno, NV
Description: The Coffee House Ride this week is from Swill Coffee & Wine. They have a little bit of everything, from espresso to smoothies, or you could sample their wine selection and start drinking early :-) Bike-friendly staff, outside tables, even special filtered water for your bottles. Warming up fast, so 8:00AM start. Route will be mostly loops out in the southwest on both sides of Virginia Street.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Coffee House rides are intended to be a fairly easy, not-too-far, social ride. Difficulty varies from C to D. The purpose is not to train for a race but to have a good time and enjoy expresso and pastries when we're done. Occasionally we will do a breakfast ride. When that is scheduled, you must (A) be a club member, and (B) RSVP by the deadline.
Please RSVP only if you ARE attending, DO NOT RSVP if you are not attending.
Helmets are required and bikes should be in good working order.
The ride leaves at the posted time. Please be signed in and ready to ride at that time.E-BIKE NOTE: The ride leader is unable to handle e-bike mechanical issues (battery failure, flat tires, etc). Please have a backup plan for these events. Class 2 e-bikes are not permitted as they are not covered by club insurance.
RIDE SWEEP: Most of these rides will NOT have an official "sweeper." The ride leader will aim to regroup at certain points. We do not want to lose anyone; however, please note the ride levels (C).
NOTES: Check the Meetup posting 2 hours before ride time for weather-related and other changes. Helmets are required and bikes should be in good working order. For the safety of all riders, please do not use earbuds, headphones, or music players as they can interfere with the ability of riders to hear safety warnings (e.g. "Car back"). It is recommended you wear bright colors so drivers can see you. Our ride leaders may offer help with bicycle mechanical issues but are not bike mechanics. Be sure your bike has been checked by a proper mechanic to be sure it fits you correctly and is operating properly. Bring tire-changing tools, a spare tube & pump (or CO2 cartridge set-up), and you should know how to change a tire & care for your bike.
