Potential Ideas

Hey everyone,

As we mentioned at the intro meetup, over this series you'll all have the opportunity to design a (hypothetical) product of your choice. Each week you'll evolve your design as we introduce new concepts.

You can work on any idea that interests you, but we strongly suggest picking one that's related to NYU life or student life in NYC, so that the other workshop participants can act as research subjects (testing your product, offering feedback, participating in interviews, etc.) who are representative of the users you hope to reach.

If you're not sure what you want to do, here are some possible ideas:

Better ways to...

  • Find clubs/events/dorm happenings

  •
Register for and find classes (including physically)

  • Find potential roommates

  • Exchange books for classes with students

  • Find out about hidden NYU resources/initiatives

Others are welcome to add their ideas to this conversation as well.

And if a few people end up working on the same idea, that's great—it's often very impactful to see how differently two people approach the same problem, and each design often comes out better thanks to the influence of the other.
