At our next Product School event this September we have the opportunity to talk about Roadmaps and Hiring Product Managers, by efood and GlobalWebIndex.
The Talks
Talk 1: Build your Product's Roadmap with OKRs
Building tech/service-oriented products, either B2C or B2B becomes more and more complex these days. Product managers have to coordinate a variety of teams i.e. Engineering, Data Science, UX/Design, Customer Success and last but not least the Executive Committee. Aligning all these people and managing expectations is the key to success. George Nikolaropoulos, Engineering Manager at GlobalWebIndex will showcase a few tools on how to successfully implement OKRs in your product and deliver what was promised when promised!
Talk 2: Hiring Product Managers: The Reality
During this presentation, we will discuss the job definition and characteristics of a Product Manager across the Greek market and what it takes (at least for the online delivery industry) to be a good candidate. We will share insights and lessons that we learned from more than 100 Product Manager/Owner interviews.

Meet the Speaker: George Nikolaropoulos
George started his professional career as a Software Engineer at Morgan Stanley in London where he spent two unforgettable years coding low-level APIs using C++, .Net and Perl. After coming back to Greece he joined Minettas Insurances where he stayed for more than 6 years eventually getting the role of CTO, leading the firm's technical to restructure with the help of an astonishing 12 member team. His next adventure found him at Signal Ocean where he was a Dev Lead and then a Product Manager dealing with Deep Learning and Microservices oriented projects. His latest destination is GlobalWebIndex where he serves as a Software Engineering manager trying to connect all the dots to create wonderful products. George gets really excited about applying cutting-edge technologies to provide a competitive advantage for the companies he works for.
