Let’s talk Product Ops
Details
As companies become good at being product-led and outcome driven, they start building up more product teams. As this grows, there is a need to start scaling up the product practice and bringing in consistent processes to help align teams. This is where the Product Operations (Product Ops) function comes in.
--> But what exactly does that look like day to day?
--> What is the value that Product Ops brings to the company?
--> What are some key skills needed for a Product Ops role?
These are just some of the topics that we will cover in our Panel discussion event.
We are lucky to be hosting awesome product operations professionals who will walk us through what they do and answer some of these questions. Come join us at this online, end of year mega meetup with our friends from Product Tank.
You can ask your questions via Slido - go to https://app.sli.do/event/nhigzass or enter the event code ProductOpsPanelNZ on slido.com (available from 8 Dec). You can upvote the questions of others so get them in early!
--- About our Panelists ---
** About Chardi Taylor (Head of Product Ops at Serko)
Chardi has always been a problem solver and tinker. She loved experimenting and trying to understand & improve anything she could get my hands on much to her parents' dismay! It seems only natural that she found her path leading to software engineering and then to business analysis and product management. Chardi truly found her ikigai when she got into product coaching and product ops. She had worked with various international companies, coaching product leaders and their teams before moving to NZ and joining Serko as Head of Product Operations.

** About Bianca Grizhar (Product Lead at Raygun)
Now that there’s finally a title for it, Bianca thinks she’s actually always been a product ops manager. Even when she was a product owner, introducing Agile to a startup in China. Or when she was training other product managers, and setting up standards and processes for product teams. Or when working for a software development agency, coordinating product delivery to client expectations across multiple projects. For Bianca, product operations is finally the recognition of an essential function enabling product management in any company building products for their customers.
