Should I be running design sprints? Should I be worried about design debt?
In our next meetup 4 members from Brighton’s outstanding design community give their take on how the design process can integrate into product development.
Talk 1 : Design Sprints: the methods, outcomes, and potential pitfalls - Tom Prior and Hayden Slaughter
The GV Design Sprint has quickly become a fashionable part of the product design toolkit. Neatly packaged and Google branded, it’s easy to see the appeal of it’s five-day product validation promise. Used appropriately, Design Sprints can rapidly determine whether your big idea deserves further investment. Deployed poorly, they risk wasting your team’s time while undermining the value of deeper design practice.
This talk hopes to demystify Design Sprints, leaving you with a better understanding of: What a GV Design Sprint is (and the alternatives), when to run a Design Sprint, how a Design Sprint can fit into an agile product delivery.
