You’ve found the use case, the tech is viable and your customers would buy it. You take a deep breath and ask yourself “Is this the right thing to do”?

You don’t? You probably should.

As PdMs the choices we make on what to build have far-reaching impact on society. If that doesn’t bother you, the impact of digital technologies on society is being increasingly scrutinized and governments are moving to regulate what technology can and can’t do. In this talk, Claire will introduce you to the world of digital ethics, share with you why it’s your secret sauce to product success, and give you a set of tools to use to help you make prioritisation calls with an ethical angle.

About Claire
Claire’s been building technology for 15 years across entertainment, FS and healthtech verticals. Today, she’s an AI Product Manager at the UK Identity Verification scale-up Onfido. She is also a thought leader on digital ethics and has spoken internationally on the subject. Her recent research on AI explainability, conducted at the University of Oxford’s Internet Institute, is currently in peer review with a major journal. At this event she’ll be speaking in a personal capacity, sharing learnings from her product journey.
