Speaker: Julian Dunn, Senior Director of Product Management, GitHub

Julian Dunn is currently Senior Director of Product Management at GitHub. He was previously Director of Product Marketing at PagerDuty and also held the same position at Chef Software, Inc., one of the founders of the DevOps movement. Prior to working in product marketing, he served as Senior Product Manager for several products at Chef and also in various engineering and professional services roles at the company.

Before Chef, Julian was a systems engineer in cloud infrastructure automation and operations for SecondMarket, Inc., a New York-based alternative markets startup that was eventually acquired by NASDAQ. Earlier in his career, he worked for nearly a decade at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation in various roles: developer, system administrator, project manager, and operations manager.

Julian holds a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in computer engineering from the University of Toronto and a Masters of Business Administration degree from the University of Oregon.

Speaker: Andrea Sommer, Co-Founder & CEO, Hive Founders

Andrea is an serial entrepreneur, advisor, investor and strategist with global expertise in emerging technology, innovation, investment strategy and strategic growth initiatives. She’s built four businesses in the technology space, including in analytics & event technology, femtech & wearables and HRtech.

She is currently Co-Founder & CEO at Hive Founders, a network for women entrepreneurs, providing education, investment readiness training and advisory services to 500+ founders across the globe.

Before her entrepreneurial career, Andrea was Director of Strategic Initiatives Europe at Avanade, a joint venture between Accenture & Microsoft where she focused on growth and optimization projects and M&A. She also consulted for other technology brands including Microsoft in the US, South America and Europe.

Andrea has been featured in press publications such as The Financial Times, Forbes, Medium and Thrive Global as well as in the books The MBA Entrepreneur and The Start-Up Mum.

She is passionate about strategy, technology, entrepreneurship, increasing the number of women represented across these industries, from entry-level to board-level. Andrea has spoken at numerous conferences on technology, the mobile industry, entrepreneurship, raising start-up finance, investing, being a female founder and women in technology.

She holds a Bachelor's Degree from Reed College in Portland, US and an MBA from London Business School.
