Please join Sophie Rifkin, Senior Associate Director at NYU Stern's Center for Sustainable Business and Sunya Ojure, Director, Sustainability at Salesforce for a presentation on how companies can use a sustainability Materiality Assessment process to prioritize key issues and develop business-relevant sustainability strategies. We will walk-through the materiality process, discuss relevant issues for tech companies, and hear from Sunya about her work at Salesforce and how the company has used materiality to drive successful sustainability programs.

Sunya Ojure is a sustainability director at Salesforce, where she leads sustainability communications, event greening and stakeholder engagement initiatives. She is passionate about creating happy, healthy communities. Sunya has an MBA from Presidio Graduate School, BA from Brown University and over ten years of experience building sustainability programs at diverse organizations, from nonprofits to Fortune 500 companies. Her best days involve bringing people together, problem solving and crafting stories to inspire change.
Sophie Waskow Rifkin currently serves as Senior Associate Director of the NYU Stern Center for Sustainable Business, where she manages strategic projects, fundraising strategy, organizational growth, and outreach and partnerships. Previously, as a member of the advisory services team at BSR (Business for Social Responsibility), Sophie worked with consumer sector companies to develop and implement sustainability strategies. She also spent three years as a project manager at the George Washington University where she helped launch the university’s inaugural sustainability program. She holds an MPA from George Washington University, and an A.B. in English from Brown University
