Increasing, employers are looking for individuals who are a good communicator, team player, critical thinker, social, adaptive, etc. These skills, often called soft skills, are personal attributes that help you work even better with other people. These are also called “people skills” or EQ, emotional intelligence quotient. Soft skills are an essential for being a leader and persuading others to pay attention to you. People with strong soft skills have more satisfying professional and, more importantly, personal lives. Their bosses rate them as more productive and impactful. Their colleagues appreciate them. They lead healthier lives. Research indicates 85% of job success comes from having well‐developed soft and people skills, and only 15% of job success comes from technical skills and knowledge.

This session will explore soft skills, offer tips for immediate impact and work on a personal road map for effectiveness in your professional and personal life.
