Emotional, Social & Motivational Aspects of Project Leadership. Earn 2 PDUs!*
Since 1995, the importance of emotional intelligence in the world of business has picked up steam like a runaway locomotive. Join us as Geoff Crane unveils some of his recent research into this domain. He will connect the dots from familiar management concepts through groundbreaking new areas of study into the minds of project leaders just like you. You will take away the following: • How do project professionals differ from the general population? • What special emotion-based skills do project professionals offer an organization? • What skills distinguish more senior practitioners from less experienced project professionals. PM FORUM: "What’s Love Got to Do With It? The emotional, social and motivational aspects of project leadership" with Geoff Crane. The occupational landscape has become more and more project-focused and employment more transactional. These phenomena have given those who can wield influence without direct authority a distinct advantage. While many professionals acknowledge that soft skills have become more important, there remains considerable debate as to which of these skills are most likely to prepare a worker for success.
