Welcome to Project Managers United Toastmasters!

Project Managers United Toastmasters encompasses the full spectrum of Project Management. This club combines the best of Project Management and Toastmasters to address the life cycle of the Project Manager from: education, employment and career development. We also provide support to business consultants and PM entrepreneurs.

As a Project Managers United Toastmasters member, you can earn up to 2 PDUs each meeting!

• Earn Professional Development Units (PDU’s) or training credits for PMP certification by attending meetings including the PM Forum;

• Earn additional PDU’s or training credits for developing a PM Forum presentation and delivering that presentation in the PM Forum; and

• Earn valuable Toastmaster designations based on speaking and listening, and leadership accomplishments;

The goal of this MeetUp group is to help people interested in project management become better communicators and stronger leaders.

PMUT presents "Transformative Organizational Change" with Kathryn Leistner.

SYNOPSIS:

The world of work is changing, for the first time ever topics of workplace culture, equity, diversity, decolonization, inclusion, and generational divide, are more crucial than ever. This requires a complete reconsideration by each of us as we uniquely approach our workplace and the future of work. Join us for a 45-minute discussion where we will explore discuss the world of work now and to 2030, organizational culture, and tools to encourage each of us to begin to reconsider what change we wish to bring to our careers and workplaces.

SPEAKER BIO:

Kathryn has over 20 years of experience working in the public and private sectors. 11 years of her experience has been in the post-secondary sector supporting career education at the undergraduate and graduate levels. She has previously held positions in human resources in manufacturing and healthcare companies and operates an HR consulting firm that focuses on organizational change, team training and employee performance, wellness and learning development. Kathryn has been teaching in post-secondary schools since 2007, and most recently is an Instructor of Organizational Behaviour for the University of Toronto, and Organizational Behaviour, Wellness in the Workplace and Human Resources Manager for McMaster University. Kathryn is a certified Career and Employment Information Specialist and holds an undergraduate degree in Education from Brock University, a Human Resources Diploma from McMaster University, a Master of Education from Queen's University and is currently undertaking her Doctor of Education, Adult Learning from the University of Calgary, where her research focuses on increasing participation in lifelong learning, through improved corporate HR processes.
