What we’re about
This is a group for all of you who play board games as much for the people as for the pieces. For anyone who loves Roll for the Galaxy, Splendor, The Resistance: Avalon, Settlers of Catan, Power Grid, Red Dragon Inn, and all of those fantastic games more than they enjoy arguing about the rules or beating everybody they know.
Every town needs a group of good people who play good games. This is an open-invite group that welcomes every game and every player, from seasoned veterans to fresh rookies. It's a place for Euro games, strategy games, card games, and all the rest. If you have a game you love and want some people to play, or want to relax and learn something new, this is your group.
This group welcomes people of all ages (16+, a bit younger is okay if experienced, well-behaved, and 100% supervised), races, ethnicities, religions, disabilities (I am sorry, the venue is not wheelchair-accessible, but there are picnic tables out front), LGBTQIA+, gendered/non-binary, ability levels, and experience levels. Zero tolerance for any negative treatment outside of usual in-game banter. If you have any concerns, please reach out to any host, co-organizer, or organizer and we'll help right away.
UPDATE 02/11/2022: In light of the changes to Rhode Island state indoor masking guidelines made effective February 2022, we have determined that mask wearing will again be voluntary at group events. We expect that many members may wish to continue wearing masks during group events and this is encouraged. Any negativity directed towards attendees who choose to do so is unacceptable and will not be tolerated.
