Cosmos, Culture and Conversation: How we create our world
This December's Topic Night will be led by our own Brad Garrison: We will discuss how individuals develop a world view, how we interact from these views with our culture and how important free and open conversation is for this phenomenon. Brad Garrison is a native of Kansas City. He spends most of his time trying to figure out what is going on while trying to save the world. He tried to save the world through charismatic Christianity for 20 years, ending up pastoring, teaching, and administrating a bible college to train young charismatics in Columbia MO. After studying a little too hard he lost his faith and reconstituted his life. He now is an advocate for the developmentally disabled in regard to special education working for a non-profit. He is still trying to figure out what has happened. ____________ Location Details: The address is 4049 Pennsylvania Avenue, Kansas City, MO. Here's the entrance to the building: https://www.google.com/maps/@39.0534401,-94.591942,3a,60y,63.83h,87.24t/data=!3m6!1e1!3m4!1svNju-3s0ig7fmiAwiuPKFg!2e0!7i13312!8i6656 The meeting is in room 301. Take the elevator up to the third floor and head to the open door opposite the elevator. Try to arrive before 7pm, as the outside doors might be locked later. If you arrive after, no worries. Just call or text the number on the P&P sign taped to the door and someone will be down to let you in. Parking in Westport: https://westportkcmo.com/park/#weekend-night-parking Free parking close by is limited. If you can't find any, the garage near Char Bar should have plenty of space, but usually costs $5. If you're joining us for more conversation at a restaurant afterward, be aware that Westport security sets up a perimeter around Pennsylvania Ave at about 10pm. So, be sure you park outside that perimeter, or move your car before they put up the barriers.

THE PROVOCATEURS AND PEACEMAKERS - Science • Philosophy • History • Psychology • Current Affairs • Spirituality • Christianity • Atheism —> Provocative Discussion

    * Want to hear differing viewpoints in rational dialogue?
    * Want deep discussion on issues that matter?
    * Want to make friends across the aisle?

Come exploring with us at our next meeting of The Provocateurs. We meet every 2nd an 4th Friday of the month. We have no trouble being provocative — our only rule is that we give everyone a chance to talk and hear them with respect. Come to learn — and to give us a piece of your mind.
