Come exploring with us at our next meeting of The Provocateurs. We meet every 2nd an 4th Friday of the month (2nd Friday for our Topic Night, 4th Friday for our Lazy Readers Night). We have no trouble being provocative — our main rule is that we give everyone a chance to talk and hear them with respect. Come to learn — and to give us a piece of your mind.

Captain Joy will argue that we have been visited by aliens. John Millam will argue that we have not. Expect a good mix of serious science and wild speculation.

Captain Joy (aka Christopher Miller)
MS in astrophysics
Captain Joy (who is not a real captain of anything) has an MS in astrophysics from Rice University. He currently teaches astronomy at Park University. He attended the last two MUFON symposiums and throws an annual Star Trek Marathon viewing party.
Dr. John Millam PhD
PhD in theoretical chemistry
Dr John Millam has a PhD in theoretical chemistry from Rice University. Theoretical chemistry involves the development and use of computer programs to apply quantum mechanics to problems in chemistry. He currently works as a programmer for Semichem.See you Friday!
