What we're about

Like keeping active? Like a pint? Keen to meet new people that don't take themselves too seriously? Us too. Let's join forces and get outdoors for some runs, followed by a pint and a chat in the pub. Simple as that.

Gentle 5k and a pint

Location visible to members

PubRun is a new meet-up and it’s growing fast! This is our regular Sunday night session - a 5k around the Meadows (two loops) - followed by a pint and a chat in the pub. We'll meet inside The Golf Tavern @ 6:30pm (for a 6:40pm start). --------- FAQs I don't know anyone - will I feel left out? It's really important to us that this group doesn't feel in any way cliquey. Pretty much everyone arrives on their own and we have new people joining us every week - so we make a massive effort to make them feel welcome. Plus, we've only been running ('scuse the pun) for a short time, so we're all technically 'new' :) I can't make this date - do you run on any other days? Yes - but we don't always publish them on meet-up. Send me a message (Lisa Mahoney) if you'd like to be added to our PubRun WhatsApp group. How fast do you run? We take a pretty easy pace and make sure no one gets left behind (although if you feel like it, you're more than welcome to steam on ahead). PubRun is less about the running, more about the socialising. Are your runs suitable for beginners? If you can run for 15 mins or more, you'll be just fine. What if it rains? We run in all weather - but if you don't fancy running in the rain, you can just join us for the pub part ;) --------- BORING DISCLAIMER (sorry) As this is a free-to-attend group, organised by someone much like yourself, participation in PubRun events is at your own risk.

🎅🏼 SANTA RUN 🎅🏼 Gentle 5k and a (few) pint(s)

Location visible to members

You may have heard of the official annual Santa run? Well, we thought we’d do our own! (and follow it up with a festive pint or three) The format is simple: we’ll be doing our regular 5k route around the Meadows, but wearing Santa/festive costumes 🎅🏼 then meet back at The Golf Tavern for some festive cheer. This will be the last PubRun of 2019 😳 For cheap Santa gear, hit the £ shop or Primark 👌🏻 We'll meet inside The Golf Tavern @ 6:30pm (for a 6:40pm start). There is an attendee limit of 50 for this event and priority will be given to those who have attended a PubRun before 15 December. If you are no longer able to make it, please make sure you select ‘not attending’ to make room for someone else :) --------- FAQs I don't know anyone - will I feel left out?
