Queer Film Club

Hops N Scotch

This club is for all the film nerds out there looking to meet others in the LGBTQ+ community, make friends, and explore queer cinema. Each meeting we gather at Hops N Scotch to discuss our movie of the month and hang out. Similar to a book club, DVD copies of the films are held at the Circulation Desk at the Brookline Village Library (361 Washington Street) and the Coolidge Corner Library (31 Pleasant Street) for you to pick up and watch on your own time.

Let Them Eat Baked Goods Book Group

Coolidge Corner Public Library

Each month we come together to share baked goods from different cookbooks. Check out a copy of the cookbook from the library, choose a recipe to make and then bring your baked goods to the club for sharing. Copies of the cookbook will be available at the front desk of the Library four weeks before the meeting. This month we will be sharing recipes from The Fearless Baker: Simple Secrets for Baking Like a Pro by Erin Jeanne McDowell Check out the book for the coming month at brooklinelibrary.org/events/ongoing-events/book-groups/

Welcome Blanket Knitting Club

Coolidge Corner Public Library

Welcome Blanket Brookline at the Coolidge Corner Library! Calling all Brookline knitters, quilters, crocheters, sewers, and crafters! Welcome Blanket, a national craftivism project, asks participants to create blankets and notes of welcome to give to immigrants and refugees. Each blanket is displayed in an exhibit and then sent to resettlement agencies to be delivered to our newest neighbors. We are forming a Brookline-based Welcome Blanket knitting circle, so we can come together, create, and talk about immigration. All levels of crafting ability welcomed. Please bring your own materials to work on. For more information, please visit https://www.welcomeblanket.org/. Or email Hadassah at [masked].
