Let's get back to IN-PERSON public-speaking practice! Although Zoom served a critical need during a once-in-a-lifetime pandemic, our well-beings need the face-to-face interaction. Let's get some reps in.
This Meetup is about improvisational public-speaking. On the fly, we improve our technique, wit, storytelling, and learning.
With beginner and intermediate sessions, this format is designed to accelerate your skill development in a supportive environment. You'll give short, improvised speeches and the group will give feedback in an organized fashion. Listening, watching, and providing feedback to other speakers adds tremendous value to ourselves and to the group.
Your short speeches will be prompted by questions tailored to elicit what is important to you. Often times, this practice helps you hone your personal narrative, craft your elevator pitch, or just communicate who you are. It's a lot of fun.
This class merges the best parts of Toastmasters and improv, and is designed to transform you into a better, more confident communicator. Stimulating your mind, laughing, and releasing good chemicals will be additional byproducts of the group.
