Why should you train or practice public speaking skills?
It is because they affect the way that people think about you. This is why public speaking causes so much anxiety and concern. Even if you don't need to make regular presentations in front of people, there are plenty of situations where good public speaking skills can help you advance your career and open doors to new opportunities.
On the flip side, bad public speaking skills may give bad impression, prevent you from advancing in your career, and close doors.
The good news is that by learning the tools and practice in this group, you can overcome your nervousness and become an effective public speaker.
About the organizer: I am a Scientologist, and the meetings for this group will take place at the local Church of Scientology near Marconi and Watt in Sacramento. However, in case you wonder whether that means this group is for changing your religion, the answer is no. For example, if you are Christian or a Buddhist, then I wish you to be the best Christian or Buddhist you can be.
Feel free to call me (Tony, the group organizer) at 916-519-5287 for any questions.
Have you ever listened to a public speaker who riveted your attention, and it was like you couldn't look away, and you hang onto everything this speaker said?
On the other hand, have you listened to a public speaker whom bored you to the point of sleep? It was like you had to force yourself to focus?
What's the difference?
And how do you be the good public speaker?
That's what we will be practicing at this meeting. Don't miss it!

All of us should have time to practice doing some public speaking at this event. I will do a little bit of coaching, and in my experience, you will have learned something very useful by the end of the event.
We will practice:
* How to have a big presence
* How to connect with the audience
* How to engage people and get their undivided attention
If you need more help, after the event you can consult with a communication coach for free.
